Host an AmeriCorps*VISTA, with Generations Incorporated
WHAT VISTAs DO
VISTA members serve in a variety of roles to build capacity for
the organization they are serving and meet the needs of people experience
or at risk of poverty. VISTA members serve in indirect roles rather
than participating in direct service. Examples of VISTA roles and
responsibilities include:
- Recruiting and managing volunteers
- Fundraising through grant writing, events, and individual solicitations
- Developing marketing materials and/or a marketing campaign
- Developing data management systems
- Creating a curriculum and/or starting up a new program
- Developing an evaluation for a program or service
- Creating and/or providing trainings for volunteers or community
members
