WHAT IS AMERICORPS?
AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs
that connect more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service
to meet our country’s critical needs in education, public
safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps is about giving
everyone a chance to make a difference. It’s about bringing
people together to gain fresh perspectives and attitudes, to serve
their communities and country, and to change lives.
